Modernizing IT in Federal Law Enforcement
Our Office of Professional Responsibility customer needed help making agency improvements more efficient. The CAPS system was created as a SharePoint (on-prem) solution to replace pre-existing 430-A and 430B PDF forms. Each fiscal year, OPR identifies processes and procedures for each USMS district and division that need improvement. The Office is responsible for collecting data to ensure accountability and integrity. It is the responsibility of the districts and divisions to provide ways in which these areas will be improved.
Historically, PDF forms were distributed, completed, and emailed back to an OPR employee and manually compiled and analyzed. The i5 TG team automated this process, leveraging Microsoft’s Power Platform and SharePoint by providing a central location where this data can be collected, stored and used for reporting. The system also facilitates meaningful communication via automated email communications.
